Candelario, Salamanca, Spain
I enjoyed a calm and wonderful weekend in Candelario, a small town situated in Salamanca. No more than a thousand people live here, and is a great place to rest, slow down and hike around the hills near it.
The houses in town also have a peculiar charactestic, known as “batipuertas”. They are something like a half door before the real door and are used to keep the snow away during the winter and to let the air come in the house during the summer.
