Old Crane, Lüneburg, Germany

This charming city is located about 50 km. south of Hamburg. It was a member of the Hanseatic League and still manages to retain that incredible taste of the citites which were powerful during the Middle Ages.

Although Lüneburg has the second most bars per mile and per resident in Europe, the atmosphere has nothing to do with the first city, Madrid. In Lüneburg everything is calm, you do not see many cars, people have a slow pace and everybody seems happy and relaxed.

Leuphana University provides the city with a lot of students (both Germans and from abroad) that gives the city a balance between them and the families that have been in the city for a long time.
